Play On

Our drama classes are designed with the emerging performer in mind, whether a total beginner or an experienced entertainer, the class will be tailored to who is there and what their needs are. Experiences include games for group cohesion and fun; self-devised theatre processes; working with scripts and character development. Peformances range from informal sharing of work to peers and parents to full scale productions for Whanau, friends and the general public. These vary from group to group.

What's On

On Sunday 2 December and Monday 3 December, 2018, we will be performing ‘Pania’. This is a whole school production. We have been working for some time now with playwright Amanda Jackson and the Tareha family of the Hapu Ngati Paarau to create the telling of Hawkes Bay Taonga – the story of Pania. We are truly grateful to be able to tell the one true and authentic story of Pania through movement, voice and music and with 106 students on stage this is our greatest challenge yet! We are very grateful to Creative New Zealand – Creative Communities funding through both Hastings District Council and Napier City Council for their funding support. Also, to David Trubridge for his design input.
